As an _**Assistant Service Director,**_ you’ll bring your passion for the early years and your commitment to seeing each child as an individual. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will work closely with the Service Director, acting as their trusted support and stepping into leadership when needed.

You’ll enjoy the variety of floating between rooms to provide guidance, mentorship, and inspiration to our dedicated team, while also engaging in non-contact time to focus on leadership, quality, and compliance tasks. Your contribution will be essential in maintaining a high-quality, positive learning environment that goes above and beyond the National Quality Standards (NQS).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Act as the second in charge** to support and collaborate with the Service Director in the day-to-day running of the service.
- **Provide mentorship and guidance** to educators, promoting professional growth and excellence in. teaching practices.
- **Lead and support room teams** fostering strong relationships with children, families and Educators
- Float across various rooms to **offer leadership**, **drive consistency**, and ensure smooth daily operations
- Engage in non contact time to focus on service management tasks, including rostering, team development, and compliance
- _**Assist with performance managemen**_**t** and fostering a positive workplace culture
- Be a go to _**resource and support for both the Service Director**_ and the entire team.
- Collaborate on the Self Assessment Tool (SAT), participate in audits and regulatory visits to help drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

**What we are looking for**:
**Qualifications**:

- _**Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education**_
- Current **First Aid** Certificate including _**CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis**_
- Current Paid Working with Children Check _**(WWCC)**_
- _**National Police Check**_(obtained in last 6 months)
- Current_**Child protection, Safe Sleep and Food Safety**_Training desirable

**Skills**:

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
- Demonstrated success in managing operational success.
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy desirable but not essential. Previous experience with the Assessment and Rating process.
- Committed to sharing the same vision and philosophy.
- Positive and optimistic outlook, friendly disposition and a great team player.
- Passionate about the Early Childhood Sector and an advocate for children.
- Ability to build strong relationships with Educators, children and families.

**Experience**: Ideally 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the early childhood education sector. You will have a proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and enrolments effectively with a strong focus on providing the highest level of quality care to the children in our care.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
