**Area Manager - Metro**:

The **newly created **Area Manager role will be responsible for **overseeing **our** metro operations** (Perth Workshop and Perth Field Services divisions). This is a role that will allow you to make a** positive impact** and lead the team to success in **executing high-quality** repairs, maintenance, and overhauls to a variety of earthmoving equipment and associated components for end-users in the civil and mining sectors.

**Key Focus Areas**:

- ** Manage divisional operations** to ensure smooth coordination of services on a daily basis.
- Ensure **profitability **of each area/division through **effective cost management** and work scope review
- Provide **mentorship** and **guidance** to admin resources for **improved** job control and data processing.
- ** Drive improvements** in the estimator function by establishing standard practices and templates for **streamlined job creation** and implementation, tailored to both clients and internally.
- ** Forecast workflows **to minimise downtime between jobs, maximizing the recoverability and productivity of the metro team
- ** Evaluate requirements** and implement **business improvement **aligned with continuous improvement and lean thinking principles.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in **frontline leadership** (manager /supervisor) within an industrial mechanical setting with **proven business acumen**, strategic thinking, and business planning skills.
- ** Trade and/or tertiary** qualifications in the engineering field highly preferred.
- Exposure to a **client-driven workshop environment**, with involvement in full scope repairs of machinery and component overhauls.
- Strong ability to influence and negotiate with diverse work groups. Collaborative team player with excellent **relationship-building** abilities.
- Proficient in data analysis and making recommendations to enhance business objectives.
- Valid **Australian Driver's license **(Minimum C Class).
