Construction & Fit Assistant | Pyrmont | NSW
We are recruiting in our Design & Innovation team, and are on the hunt for a Construction and Fit Assistant in our Outerwear, Sleep & Baby team to work on our iconic brands
In this role you will play a key support to the team, assisting them with technical specifications and managing the fit of garments to ensure a consistent approach is developed and maintained. The team are constantly looking to take our brands and styles to the next level, and in ensuring we have the best fit of products: this represents a fantastic entry-level opportunity to get first-hand experience from the team and grow your career within the patternmaking and garment technician space.
Day to day you will be assisting and supporting the team with the following:

- Develop and maintain garment blocks that ensure consistency of fit for the product
- Simplify new development aligning styles to standard blocks
- Develop best fit that meet brand requirements
- Develop patterns and design samples
- Provide garment specifications, accurate technical drawings & sample fit evaluation in PLM
- Assist Designers to develop new concepts for shape and fit
- Provide clear fit appraisal for all new shape developments including grading and wear trials
- Manage samples

What experience do I have?
- Some level of work or internship experience in a Patternmaker or Garment Tech role within the industry would be prefered.
- Strong administrative and data entry/admin skills
- Strong PC skills: MS Office suite and a working knowledge of Illustrator would be prefered.
- Confident communicator, intuitive and a good listener
- Flexible, open to change and able to juggle tasks and prioritise
