We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team at Madame Lynn – Vietnamese Restaurant in Pyrmont. We specialise in authentic Vietnamese and Asian cuisine, including popular dishes such as phở, bún, and bánh mì.

Position Details:

  • Position: Chef (Full-time)
  • Salary: $77,000 per annum plus superannuation
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Location: Pyrmont, Sydney NSW

Duties include:

  • Preparing, seasoning, and cooking authentic Vietnamese and Asian dishes.
  • Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs.
  • Monitoring quality of dishes during preparation and presentation.
  • Managing kitchen operations, ordering supplies, and maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Training and supervising kitchen staff to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Chef in Vietnamese or Asian cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional Vietnamese flavours and techniques.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
  • Relevant qualifications (Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).

Preference:

This position is open to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents.
