**_ C&K _**_Ascot Community Kindergarten_** is a community based not-for-profit Kindergarten. The Centre is a Kindergarten that caters for up to 22 children across our learning space. We are now searching for a **_Director Teacher,_** who is enthusiastic working alongside children in their early years, contributing to a team that values open communication and sees children as competent and capable learners.

We are proud of the large, natural outdoor spaces for children to learn and explore together. The kindergarten operates their program 5 days per week on Monday-Friday. This kindergarten runs an additional extended hour programs from 3-6pm and holiday kindergarten from 7:30am - 6pm. You will be working in the core kindergarten program, responsible for rostering afternoon and holiday programs.

Your working hours will on a fixed term full time basis Monday to Friday (7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week). The position commences at the beginning of C&K preparation week, prior to the commencement of the kindergarten term and will include a week of handover training with the current Director.

**About you**

You will be a self-starter, love your community and possess a creative vision. Must be committed to continuous improvement, through a collaborative approach with colleagues, community, families, and children. Previous Director Teacher experience is desirable but not essential. An approachable leader amongst your community of families, children, and employees; with a hands-on approach in managing the service operationally.

You will need to hold
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification).
- First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
- Paid Blue Card or Exemption Card
- A Police Check current within 3 months or willingness to obtain one

All C&K employees are required to undergo background checks which include a police check and, as a condition of employment, all employees are required to have 1st and 2nd COVID Vaccinations.
