Home Care Careers is brought to you by the Aged & Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA), the Human Services Skills Organisation (HSSO) and Powerhouse Hub (PHH). It’s all part of the Home Care Workforce Support Program - an Australian Government initiative helping older people live at home for longer by creating an additional 13,000 home care workers roles.

**About the role**

As a care/support worker your role will be varied. In this role, you may undertake the following tasks:

- General household tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cleaning bathroom & kitchen, making beds, hanging up washing etc
- Personal care such as showering, dressing, grooming and toileting (once trained)
- Meal preparation
- Social Support
- Respite
- Transport to appointments and shopping etc

**Credentials, Trainings, and Certifications**

To work as a support/care worker in home care there are a few basic requirements:

- Police Check
- Working with vulnerable people (as required)
- Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to undertake)
- Up to date vaccinations including Flu and COVID-19
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (or willing to undertake)
- Have the ‘Right to Work’ in Australia

**How to Apply**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 5 per week

**Salary**: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Geelong VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
