About the role

VitalCore Support Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Geelong, VIC 3220. This is a casual position that will see you provide essential care and support to elderly and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with day-to-day living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  • Providing companionship and engaging clients in social and recreational activities
  • Advocating for client needs and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
  • Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate case notes
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and quality standards

What we're looking for

  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a similar support worker role, preferably in the aged care or disability services sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable transport
  • A strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Australian citizenship is required for this role
  • NDIS worker screening clearance is required
