A little bit about the team and the role This position sits in the Data Platform squad of the Data Services Tribe within the Technology & Data Group. The mission of Data Services is to ‘make it easy to leverage REA data.’ The Data Platform squad is responsible for our REA Group data platform, which is built using a combination of commercial off-the-shelf products and bespoke REA components. While no two days are the same, you can expect to deliver on the following: - Maintain a roadmap which balances current operational constraints, targeted delivery of value and long-term strategic goals.- Define and compellingly articulate the product and data architecture and value proposition to internal customers and stakeholders.- Shape the Data Platform team’s product portfolio to make it easy for internal teams to leverage REA data and lower the cost of managing data.- Balance long-term needs of scale/re-use with near-term market responsiveness considerations.- Lead the team in development of new products and features e2e including discovery, opportunity assessment, ideation, development, delivery, launch, and support.- Effectively implement and monitor plans/schedules with dependent teams/stakeholders, making appropriate trade-offs on scope, time and cost.- Create collateral and documentation to provide product support and ensure products are supported with the lowest possible overhead for exceptional service.- Build close partnerships with our key internal stakeholder groups, understand their businesses, their customers’ needs, their environmental constraints, their tactical and strategic objectives.- Initiating engagement forums and creating a cadence to continuously capture feedback and requirements to drive product improvements.- Closely track and provide insights into drivers of product performance using data and key metrics.- Help drive technology and data design choices while clearly articulating the decision-making criteria to technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Makes build vs. buy recommendations for software development using relevant industry knowledge and research. What we’re looking for- Hands on experience of some form working with data will be highly regarded, we're looking for 3-5 years - from a product management, analyst, engineering, consulting or other perspective.- Strong analytical skills, including ability to interpret complex business needs and translate into product requirements for technical solutions.- Demonstrated ability to manage product or project roadmaps with trade-offs and dependencies.- Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.- Solid prioritisation and stakeholder management skills- Ability to manage the competing demands of multiple projects in a timely manner - #gsd- Able to create clarity and generates positive energy whilst leading a cross-functional team of people from different disciplines- Familiarity with Data Governance, Privacy and Security concepts and policies well regarded- Prior experience in product delivery, ideally in an Agile environment The REA experience The physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about.
