If you answer yes to these questions, you could be the perfect Health Information Manager (HIM) to join the professionals at Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). We are looking for a qualified Health Information Manager with:
- Excellent technical and analytical skills
- The relevant tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management with a preference of having experience managing a team
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Health Information Service team at the Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital. You will be based in Nowra, and you may need to travel within the district, as required. You will play a significant role in preparing for the relocation of the service to a new workspace as part of the Hospital’s redevelopment, currently underway. You will also be involved in preparations for the implementation of EPIC, the Single Digital Patient Record planned for May 2027.

From Helensburgh in the north, to North Durras in the south, ISLHD covers an area of 5,687 square kms. That is 5,687 square kms of beautiful beaches, coastal cycling tracks, lush rainforests, incredible bushwalks and friendly people. The region is also host to many annual food, wine and arts festivals and events.
ISLHD operate six hospital sites, employ over 8,500 staff, and provides community health services across 58 locations. Significant redevelopments are also underway at Shellharbour with a new hospital under construction.
This role will operate out of Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital, one of the District’s major hospitals. The hospital is situated Nowra and is close to many amazing beaches and hiking trails. In Shoalhaven district you can experience a sea or tree change. You will be well situated to enjoy all aspects of the Shoalhaven and Sapphire Coast.
