**ABOUT OUT CLIENT**
Our client is a privately-owned & highly successful hospitality group who have an excellent track record of achieving significant growth within the Australian market.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Reporting through to the Business Development Manager, as General Manager, you will oversee the successful performance of their venue in Geelong. You will ensure that the venue has a customer first focus, is efficient, well systemised and profitable.
**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Support a customer first culture that delivers excellent service;
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and sales
on a strategic level;
- Review stocktake reports against par levels and oversees
Stock Management to achieve COGS;
- Maintain a commitment to business objectives by directing
staff in best practices to follow;
- Ensure venue compliance to service systems;
- Maintain an awareness of venue promotional activities or
special events.
**SKILLS & EXPERTISE**
- Possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of venue management experience;
- Have strong staff management skills;
- Posses a strong financial understanding and be able to report on the financial side of the business;
- Have strong leadership and interpersonal skills as well as an understanding of brand management & business systems;
- A passion for the hospitality industry;
- Can foster a strong customer-first culture with an ambition to achieve targets and grow sales;
- Take a “hands-on” approach
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Proven training skills
- Strong knowledge of PNL Reporting and being able to present the numbers correctly.
