**About Liquor & Gaming NSW**
We are at the pointy end of industry supervision for the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino and registered club sectors in NSW. We’re enabling vibrant and dynamic hospitality and racing environments that are safe and responsible, and our regulatory efforts are evidenced-informed, coordinated, and targeted to where the risks are greatest.

**About the Role**
The Manager Policy & Legislation leads and manages a team in the development, delivery and implementation of a portfolio of policy initiatives and reforms that support organisational objectives and Government commitments.
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for:
- Research and analyse complex policy matters, spotting emerging issues, and crafting evidence-based solutions to resolve problems and minimise risks.
- Offer expert guidance and information to stakeholders to steer policy directions effectively.
- Supervise teams to ensure the agency fulfills policy commitments and implements major initiatives smoothly.
- Devise and execute strategies for evaluating policy initiatives, pinpointing risks, and ensuring desired outcomes.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, consultations, and negotiations to develop solutions and recommendations aligned with sound policy decisions.
- Supervise the preparation of reports, briefs, and correspondence to inform Agency and Government requests effectively.
**To be successful you will have**:
- Extensive knowledge of the machinery of Government, including Cabinet and legislative processes and ability to understand and interpret a wide variety of legislation and expertise in policy development, implementation, and review.
- Demonstrated experience working at a senior or executive level in a complex organisation delivering specialist and authoritative advice to executive leadership.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- A highly organised, detail-oriented Manager with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
