**Responsibilities**:
**Operational Management**:

- Plan, schedule, and coordinate workshop activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Monitor and optimize workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of workshop equipment and machinery.
- Manage inventory of materials, tools, and supplies.
- Implement and maintain effective quality control procedures.

**Team Leadership**:

- Supervise and motivate a team of metal tradespeople, including welders, fabricators, and trades assistants.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Manage employee scheduling and timekeeping.

**Safety Management**:

- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Implement and enforce safe work practices.
- Provide safety training and promote a strong safety culture.
- Manage and maintain a safe and clean workshop environment.

**Project Management**:

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure that all work meets specifications and quality standards.

**Administration**:

- Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on workshop performance and key metrics.
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or in a similar leadership role within the metal trades industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, machining, or related fields.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using workshop equipment and tools.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in relevant software.
- Relevant trade qualifications.
- Drivers license.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Formal qualifications in management or leadership.
- Certifications in relevant safety standards.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
