We are currently seeking a Welder for our Brisbane workshop to join our established team.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll play a crucial role crafting complex metal and plastic components using cutting-edge welding techniques.

The ideal candidate will possess:

● An understanding of industrial plastics and plastic piping systems

● Great problem solving skills

● Strong analytical and communication skills

● Experience with installing UPVC/CPVC piping systems

● Exposure to reading and interpreting technical drawings; including isometrics

● A commitment to health, safety, and excellence in all tasks

What You'll Do:

● Craft with Precision: Fabricate and assemble complex metal and plastic products, wielding your skills in welding, cutting, forming, bending, and shaping metal and plastic to exacting design specifications.

● Master of the Tools: Utilise power tools, hand tools, hand welders, and precision equipment to construct durable metal and plastic products.

● From Blueprint to Reality: Read and interpret work orders and drawings, meticulously translating them into flawless metal and plastic creations.

● Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to refine fabrication techniques and ensure consistent, repeatable manufacturing processes.

● Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Partner with the Operations Manager to prioritise tasks, proactively communicate potential challenges, and work effectively within the team.

The ideal candidate would need to have the following;

● Minimum of 3 years' experience in welding and fabrication, consistently demonstrating superior weld quality (both strength and aesthetics). Familiarity with a variety of metal and plastic materials like HDPE, PP, PVC, ECTFE, PTFE, and PVDF is a plus

● Proficiency in using callipers, gauge blocks, micrometres, and height/depth gauges to ensure precise measurements

● Current manual driver's license

● Clear and effective communication with co-workers and supervisors is essential
