**SHEQ ADVISOR - TRANSPORT**

**Ventia** Transport division are working on an exciting project for **Main Roads WA.** Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking to employ a **SHEQ** **(Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) Advisor** on the Pilbara Rural Network Contract (RNC).

As a **SHEQ Advisor**, your primary responsibility is to:

- Be a **Safety Champion** for the project
- Inform and implement Safety Management Plans across the project
- Maintain client specific requirements and systems
- Provide key legislative and organisation updates as required
- Undertake aspects of Environment and Quality function
- Implement processes to ensure communication and compliance with all SHEQ policies and procedures including fostering a culture of ‘safety and health above all else'
- Promote the participation of all people in achieving a safe workplace with zero impact on the environment
- Provide support and guidance to the operational teams in prompt and accurate event reporting, management, investigation and documenting.

**About you**:

- Tertiary Qualification in Workplace/ Occupation Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Health, Environmental or Quality Equivalent
- 3 + years demonstrated experience in safety / environment / quality or relevant industry role
- Have suitable experience as a safety professional in industrial safety and possess the required technical skills and knowledge to perform the role.
- Detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements, and ISO standards
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training and small group coaching
- Strong Organisational skills including being confident in managing stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent customer communication skills, oral and written
