The purpose of this role is to provide leadership for a regional team, with both direct and indirect reporting lines. This role is a key member of the Regional Leadership Team and Regional Transport Leadership Team, and is a client facing role. This role also forms part of the National Section Leadership team. This role will represent the Section in a geography and be the consulting expert from a technical, delivery and team management point of view.

**The Opportunity**:

- Support business growth for the region and contribute nationally in achieving agreed funding, revenue and operating margin goals
- Manage work winning/delivery and associated resourcing requirements for small, medium and large-scale tenders, services and projects
- Lead a regional team encompassing all people management functions
- Drive a culture of excellence in expertise, consulting and safety
- Ensure appropriate Governance, risk and opportunity management arrangements are in place in tenders, service and project delivery
- Work collaboratively with other Sections and Regional Teams to achieve Transport Group goals

**What we'll love about you**:

- 10+ years of experience in a consulting and advisory environment, leading infrastructure design and project delivery and people management
- Work collaboratively with the Client Director/Key Account Managers, other Regional Executives in a geography and other stakeholders across WSP
- Ensure client satisfaction and engagement through optimal client experiences and quality outputs
- Drive and promote and effective consulting culture, placing clients at the centre of our business
- Maintain a presence and profile in the market as a trusted advisor for clients and delive partners
- Create a collaborative working environment that attracts and retains employees
- Champion diversity and safety (SHEQ) in line with KPI’s with the support of Team Managers/Team Leads/Discipline Leads
- Ensure that all staff have Development, Performance and Career Goals captured via the THRIVE process
- Ensure a high level of staff engagement
- Support innovation and champion a continuous improvement model to improve; consulting and technical skills across the Section
- Support and engage with Capability Leadership teams and other technical forums as appropriate to ensure WSP’s expertise is market leading
- Support the adoption of new methods of working including new tools leading to improved quality and gaining efficiencies including the advancement of global resource models
