**The Opportunity**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data & Analytics Specialist to join our team based in North Sydney. This role plays a key part in delivering timely, structured access to data while supporting the standardisation of operational reporting across our Infrastructure Services (IS) sector.
- You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, developing contract-specific reports and automation solutions, and ensuring data is presented clearly and consistently. Working closely with project teams and the Data & Analytics Community of Practice, you’ll champion data-driven insights that enhance operational performance and service delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Drive the execution of Ventia’s data and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends and insights that support informed decision-making.
- Design and develop impactful dashboards and data visualisations using Power BI.
- Create automation tools to streamline data processing and reporting workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate analytics into actionable outcomes.
- Support the delivery of EOIs and tender submissions with robust data insights.
- Contribute to end-to-end analytics projects—from planning through to implementation and review.
- Engage with the Data & Analytics Community of Practice to promote best practices and sector-wide consistency.
- Provide Power BI support and guidance to staff embedded within contracts across the IS Sector.

**About You**
We’re looking for a data-driven professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
- You will ideally bring:

- A bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline (Master’s in Business Analytics or Data Science preferred)
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (highly regarded)
- Solid experience in data analytics roles, particularly with financial and operational datasets
- Industry experience in construction or services (desirable)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- A collaborative approach and a passion for mentoring others
- Technical Skills Required:

- Power BI report development (intermediate to advanced)
- Advanced M Query and data modelling capabilities
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles for data visualisation
