Their dentists have a strong focus on education and ensure that all patients have a full understanding of all options available and what is involved in any potential treatment. They are a hygiene focused practice with 3 full time hygienists. The practice is equipped with Sirona TENEO dental chairs in all surgeries and have used CEREC CAD/CAM technology for the last 30 years.
**What you will be doing and will be responsible for**:
Riken Dental are currently looking for an experienced Receptionist with the ability or interest to cover dental nursing (further experience in the dental assisting area can be provided to the right applicant), to join the practice on a full time basis working across 4 days per week (expected hours 7.45am - 5.45pm).
As the Receptionist you will play an integral role in providing front of house and administration services for the clinic and dental assistance support for the team. You must appreciate the value of great client service and love working in and contributing to a positive, proactive environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Managing a busy and vibrant reception providing an efficient and courteous first point of contact for incoming calls and visitors.
- Phone Queries (for existing clients), reminders and scheduling of appointments.
- Cash handling.
- Invoicing and receipting.
- Accurate Database management, data entry and reporting.
- Maintaining excellent communications with all internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain positive relationships by providing excellent client service to patients
- Assist in updating and implementing procedures relating to the clinic.
- Provide sterilisation and infection control solutions
- Prepare patients & facilities for dental treatment
- Setting up/wiping down for each patient
- Chairside assisting
- Maintaining stock levels in surgeries
- Collaborate closely with the team
- Maintain stock control
- Assist with building patient relations
- Dental assistance support to the team of dentists and hygienists in providing care for patients throughout the day including surgery setup and clean down, patient preparation, sterilisation and infection control solutions
**‘What you look like’ and need to demonstrate to be successful’**
- A proven and previous background as a receptionist with a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role (previous dental or medical reception experience viewed favourably).
- Previous experience in a dental assistant role (desirable but not essential).
- Exceptional client service, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, experienced and vibrant telephone manner.
- Great organisation and time management skills as well as an ability to multi-task.
- Ability to relate both clinicians and patients.
- Natural ability to establish rapport quickly and easily.
- Ability to learn and embrace new on-line and off-line technologies, systems and work practices as they develop and become available.
- Will be confident they will be able to receive positive referencing around client service, being a team player with a high degree of initiative and helpfulness.
- A positive, friendly and welcoming demeanour (in person and over the phone).
- Ability to work well in a team in a fast-paced environment (and enjoys being busy).
- High attention to detail.
- A passionate can do attitude, flexibility and the ability to effect and embrace change.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the team
- Previous background experience with busy receptions and familiarity with EFTPOS and HICAPS and Medicare programs viewed favourably but not essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of infection control standards (desirable but not essential).
- Working with Children Check (or willing and able to obtain WWCC).
- Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19 (including booster shot) as per Government Mandate.
