**Talent International** is currently recruiting for a **Stakeholder & Government Relations Officer **to work for an** NSW Government client **based in **Sydney. **The position is a** 12-month contract role with the possibility of being extended. **The role is paying between **$600 to $670/day + Super.**

**8 hours per day / 40 hours per week**

**The Opportunity**

The role will see you assisting the Policy Corporate Affairs Team in various functions, including providing parliamentary services, cross-Government policy coordination, and media management. In addition, you will be developing and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across government and peak industry bodies, consulting and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify emerging issues and contentious matters and providing advice on their proactive management to ensure effective and swift resolution.
- Support the Policy and Corporate Affairs team in providing well-considered and trusted advice on a wide range of policies, strategic and organisational matters to inform priorities, risks, and issues management.
- Assist in providing strategic advice and high-level parliamentary procedure expertise to ensure the effective provision of parliamentary services and government relations.

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualification in business, policy, government relations, or a related discipline or relevant experience.
- Experience in NSW parliamentary processes, ideally in a ministerial office or state government department.
