**Technical Manager | Melbourne, VIC**

**Looking for a role that allows you to take deep ownership of your work?**

As a Technical Manager in one of our Melbourne based Workers Compensation Claims team, you will be responsible for providing technical/legal expertise. Ensuring both our compliance & regulatory and service objectives are achieved; you will be empowered to make a difference in the work you do. As a key role within the team you will work closely with claims specialists - supporting them with technical expertise.

**You'll be responsible for**:

- Supporting our liability management objectives by ensuring all adverse decisions are made in accordance with legislation and the quality decision-making frameworks.
- Providing technical and legal knowledge and strategic advice to claims staff and customers of Allianz.
- Supporting in the growth and development of our claims staff, helping with their Technical queries and case management challenges.
- Having accountability for all procedures and outcomes that require Technical Manager endorsement and oversight.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, team members and third parties to provide a high level of customer service by focusing on delivering solutions that meet internal /external customer needs and expectations.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve operational controls and claim outcomes.

**Important to your success**:

- Prior case management experience in Workers Compensation or a Personal Injury scheme.
- Significant experience in managing technical claims/situations in Workers Compensation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Victorian Workers Compensation legislation and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to present to larger groups.
- Technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools including Action & Novus.
