Our Federal Government client is seeking an
**Assistant Director** to ensure adherence to governance frameworks and functions within business areas.
**About the role**:
- Promote governance principles and protocols and design processes and procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain up-to-date governance frameworks and policies
- Identify, monitor, and report on governance risks, issues, and benefits
- Implement quality check processes to ensure accuracy and quality of outputs and decision-making
- Create controls to ensure reliable and accurate information for reporting purposes
- Provide professional advice on governance matters and manage stakeholder relationships, supporting the agency's strategic vision and decision-making
**Ideally, you will have the ability to**:
- Communicate effectively, adapting to audience and context
- Negotiate and influence effectively to achieve quality outcomes
- Make decisions based on professional judgement and risk evaluation
- Contribute to strategic plans and consider business area priorities
- Exhibit strong research skills and deliver accurate information to inform decisions
- Manage staff learning and development, including coaching and guidance
**Knowledge and understanding of**:
- Information Governance (IRMG - Level 5)
- Relevant governance approaches and frameworks in area of specialisation
- Records management standards, systems and procedures
- Legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements relevant to the work area
- The agency’s privacy, ethics, workplace health and safety and security protocols
- relevant business systems and tools
