**Job Purpose**

Reporting to the Managing Director, the HSE Manager is responsible for management of health, safety, environmental, and security for the U-Go Mobility bus operations.
- The HSE Manager will develop, implement, assess and review health and safety management plans and strategies and deliver initiatives that improve safety outcomes in the workplace by implementing safe work practices, policies and procedures.
- This position is also responsible for managing the compliance requirements related to the delivery, operations and maintenance of the GSBC10 Region.
- The HSE Manager will lead a team in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of these services for U-Go Mobility.

**Responsibilities**

**Safety**
- Lead the HSE deliverables in achieving bus operator accreditation.
- Support the mobilization of the operations including the implementation of safety management systems, information training and awareness to the transitioning workforce
- Establish event and incident reporting processes to meet the contractual KPI requirements
- Lead the establishment of the Safety Cultural program for Ugo Mobility.
- Integrate HSE risk management into the Ugo Mobility operations and leadership teams forums. Embed a focus on Critical Risk Management into each phase of the HSE risk management framework.
- Ongoing development, implementation, monitoring and coordination of the integrated Workplace Health and Safety Management Systems, ensuring all information and actions required are recorded to meet the requirements of the Regulator, Workcover Authorities, Environmental Protection Authorities, Local & Federal Government Regulatory Guidelines and Standards.
- Advise and support the leadership team and their sites in all matters concerning the prevention of accidents, occupational disease or injury and protection of the environment.
- Monitor and interpret legislation, authority directives, regulations and standards advising management of changes and recommending implementation plans
- Ensure governance over the HSE systems implementation effectiveness
- Manage internal and external site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to
- Implement and promote a system that encourages the reporting of any unsafe acts or conditions, assisting in the development of an open culture that encourages safe behaviours and sees safety as everyone’s responsibility.
- Oversee and provide guidance on investigations of all accidents/incidents, ensuring establishment of the ‘root cause’, any corrective actions address this cause going forward, any procedure manuals/ work instructions is updated and the incident is recorded as per company procedures and legislative requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements.
- Complete management and other reports, board papers, etc for submission, on tie and accurately

**Quality**
- Support Quality systems development, maintenance and auditing where required
- Develop management systems auditing
- Maintain a program of review and analysis of product/process conformance/non-conformance and associated corrective/preventive actions.
- Act as lead for all Quality assurance issues.
- Ensure all work is compliant with UGL Infrastructure’s Quality Management Systems policies and procedures and ISO 9001:2000 requirements.

**Environment**
- Ensure that Ugo Mobility’s Environment Management Plan, System and sustainability requirements are implemented
- Ensure the business and projects comply with all environmental legislation and standards as required

**Security**
- Develop and maintain a security management plan and monitor implementation.
- Establish an Emergency/Crisis Management plans and program of implementation, testing and communication to ensure Ugo mobility preparedness for responding to emergencies.
- Work with U-Go Mobility, combat agency and client representatives to ensure that all locations / sites have the appropriate level of security to ensure the safety and security of all employees and assets.
- Participate in Local Emergency Management forums as required to develop awareness and relationships
