**The Quality Improvement and Education Schemes section** is seeking an experienced people manager to lead a team within service delivery with a strong focus on client service, and to contribute to business improvement processes.
**Duties**
In accordance with the principles of workplace diversity, Work Health and Safety, participative work practices, APS values and APS Employment Principles, the position duties include:
- Managing a team of staff to achieve results within a high-volume service delivery area.
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to staff, including coaching, training and feedback.
- Monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and managing performance.
- Providing feedback to management and developing and improving on business processes, procedures and correspondence.
- Handling escalations and providing advice to clients, including in writing, on complex aspects of policy and legislation.
- Engaging with and developing strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Preparing statistical information, estimates of expenditure and other reports as required.
- Assisting to communicate and manage change within the team and wider Branch.
**Eligibility**
- Applicants must be an Australian citizen to apply.
**Mandatory Requirements**
- The ability to gain and maintain a working with vulnerable people clearance.
**Notes**
A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing/non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
