Job Summary Capacity Engineering Manager will support a team of professional individual contributors and is responsible for data integrity and space inventory within our Data Centers. Your team will work from Japan and Australia, so previous experience in managing hybrid, remote or regional teams will be highly regarded. You will lead hand off meetings between Construction/Design teams, Capacity team and Site Operations team to disseminate the new design work and discuss any concerns that impact space assignments. Coordinating and leading these team meetings with sales engineers on a regular basis to review sales pipeline, available capacity or constraints will be a focus of the role - and the successful applicant will operate in conjunction with Senior Management, Campus and Cluster leads in relations to available capacity, holds, constraints and/or deferred infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: People Management - Leads and develops junior and senior capacity engineers across activities including results, costs, methods and staffing to meet schedules and goals - Works with each individual team member to understand their career aspirations and supports their development goals and objectives - Builds and maintains a team working environment where all team members feel they are safe, they matter, and they belong. Demonstrates and embodies the Equinix values and the "Magic of Equinix" Reporting and Problem solving - Prepares required reports used by the executive team to analyze fill rates and develop projections related to future expansions - Acts as advisor and provides direction to staff as the need arises to analyze and resolve out-of-process technical problems - Selects methods and techniques for acquiring solutions to problems that deviate from established processes or operational policies Data Integrity and Space Management - Prepares weekly audits on inventory numbers for manager review, noting all increases, decreases and discrepancies - Confirms accuracy and consistency of data on a monthly basis - Ensures data for new locations is added into capacity systems accurately and on schedule - this will include monitoring and assigning tasks to team members to resolve data quality issues related to Capacity Qualifications: - Demonstrated experience over time in a role within inventory management capacity, space planning, logistics, retail management or relevant industry - Partners with multi-functional, cross regional leadership teams and provides thought leadership and mentorship for building process/ policies/ standards - Electrical or Mechanical engineering knowledge a plus Benefits of the role: - Salary package including company shares, annual bonus and reviews, health allowance - Access to a range of wellness, financial and company benefits and support and social groups - Unlimited career progression opportunities within a Global company, including across functional teams in Australia and Asia-Pacific Equinix is an equal opportunity employer.
