**Our Opportunity**

The Thales Australia Maritime business offers ship repair services, maintenance and asset management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia. Our Technical & Weapons Services team provides Repair, Maintenance and Technical support and related services in support of specific marine and weapon systems in supporting Naval services.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the management of the Combat systems and equipment project operations to ensure project objectives are achieved
- Management and team leadership of a highly skilled technical workforce
- Develop new business opportunities to support both customer requirements and the achievement of business objectives
- Work together with a variety of technical stakeholders to successfully deliver critical projects
- Provide management and financial oversight to in relation to external contractors
- Support the Maritime / Ship Repair business units as a Project Manager (PM) and/or assisting PM within ship scheduled maintenance availabilities.
- Focus on continuous improvement and other business activities that promote high performance
- Travel to other Thales Australia locations as required

**About You**
- Extensive combat systems background with proven technical expertise in the support of technical and weapons systems
- Experience working with RAN Combat Systems
- Significant project management experience and ability to manage project life cycles
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to lead, manage and influence key stakeholders
- Strong understanding of Naval customer requirements and related technologies
- Proven commercial acumen and business development skills
- Ability to manage both operational and strategic business priorities with a commitment to high performance
- Intermediate computer skills, especially in the use of Microsoft Office
- Those with additional qualifications in project management, business or an engineering discipline will be viewed favourably

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
