
Facilities Account Manager

Our client is a market leader in the field of specialist OH&S products and services. For almost twenty years they have provided a full range of services culminating in the fabrication and installation of custom height safety systems. On their behalf we are now seeking an appropriately experienced person to capitalise on pre-qualified sales enquiries, attend booked appointments, search out new opportunities and manage both new and ongoing client relationships.
Our ideal person:
- ** is strategic, patient and consultative**:
- ** has a passion for safety and is comfortable being at heights**:
- ** has good time management skills**:
- ** is used to a longer term sales process that requires nurturing and customer relationship management**:
- ** is happy to undergo some initial product training and then self-educate on an ongoing basis regarding Australian Standards and manuals**:
- ** is available for occasional regional and interstate travel**:
- ** has their own reliable work vehicle**:
- ** has a proven history in account management, facilities management or contract administration/project management**
Desirable (but not a deal-breaker) would be:
- ** an appropriate trade qualification (eg carpenter, plumber, HVAC, engineering or similar) with practical hands-on experience**:
- ** an existing network in the facilities space.**
Reporting to the Managing Director (himself a skilled negotiator and long-time veteran of the industry) you will enjoy the full support of a dedicated team of engineers, estimators, trained safety inspectors and installers. Because of our client's experience - and the fact that they design and manufacture locally - they are ideally placed to take on more interesting and sometimes difficult assignments so there is tremendous satisfaction to be gained from your end to end involvement in the process. No two days will be the same.
