The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is the largest organization of its kind in Australia. **About the Role**:
Heading the Communications and Marketing team, you'll lead VACCA’s website, social media, multimedia content creating, VACCA’s brand guidelines, member support and engagement as well as events to build trusted relationships with the families and communities we serve as well as, sector professionals, and government to maximise positive internal working relationship across and within the organisation, influence external perceptions and help to mitigate reputational risks and issues for VACCA.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and meet required deadlines
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to produce high quality messaging and communication strategies rapidly
- Demonstrated experience managing teams in a diverse environment
- Demonstrated understanding of best practice communication process and channels
- Demonstrated understanding of brand and risk management strategies
- Highly developed interpersonal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills as well as desire to learn, grow and develop
- A warm, engaging and kind approach with an ability to work with different people
**Qualification and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations and/or related field experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, including demonstrated experience leading or working as a senior advisor for an organisation, CEO or high profile leadership group
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal affairs, both in a federal and Victorian context, and/or knowledge and understanding of the community services or child and family welfare sector.
