The Country HR Manager is accountable for fiduciary responsibilities relating to the human resources function in Australia. They will also be a strategic HR Business Partner to selected Business Units / Functions. As a member of the Australian Country Leadership Team, they will work closely with peers across the organisation.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Fiduciary responsibilities including: General Human Resources, Employee/Labour Relations, Compliance, Board reporting, Develop short to mid-term (1-3 years) plans for optimising the areas of responsibility and execute those plans, Developing, socialising and rolling out country wide policies, initiatives and processes, Establish and implement strategies that have short to mid-term (1-3 years) impact on business results in alignment with parent/independent organization objectives, Implement global initiatives and projects locally,
- Develop relationships and work with Centres of Expertise including (Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations Talent and Learning Talent Acquisition Global Mobility) Support the Australian based HR Operations and Talent team members including (Developing employee skills and performance through training and coaching Hiring, training, and developing new employees to meet organisational needs
- HR consulting and coaching (e.g., working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues, provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.).
- Enabling business change (e.g., supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes, talent integration related to mergers & acquisitions, etc.).
- HR program advocacy (e.g., communicating the business value of HR initiatives, managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption, etc.).
- Partnering with the business and talent management/staffing and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, hi-potential employee development, succession planning, etc.)
- Other duties that Hitachi Energy may direct you to perform, for which you have the necessary skills and qualifications.

**Your background**:

- 10+ years in Human Resources roles.
- Employment relations experience.
- Knowledge - Minimum relevant Degree or equivalent experience.
- Skills - Proficient with MS Word, Excel; demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills.
