**The Role**

Our facilities management services contract at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) represents one of Downer’s largest facilities management contracts in the Health sector.

You will be part of the Operations team, reporting to the Operations Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join this team working with an important client with responsibilities including:

- Management and scheduling of all reactive and preventative maintenance tasks necessary to achieve an effective maintenance function, in accordance with the Service Agreements.
- Contribute to a best practice approach to deliver preventative and reactive maintenance supporting all plant, equipment, buildings and fixtures, maintaining operational and safety requirements to ensure business continuity.
- Provide technical expertise across multiple infrastructure services including, but not limited to HVAC; Electrical distribution system including HV and LV; Diesel generators; trigeneration and UPS systems; Hydraulic services; Medical gas systems; Building management systems e.g. SCADA/ION; other plant and equipment required on a health facility site.
- Support asset management activities through a whole of life approach utilising condition assessments and industry leading practices

**About You**

Vital to your success will be your ability to identify and set priorities within a complex facility as well as developing, monitoring and evaluating the performance of subcontractors. You will have a Tertiary qualification in a Technical or Engineering field and / or technical expertise in a Facility Management / Building Maintenance, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or similar and the following experience:

- Minimum five (5) years within the Health sector (or comparable facility management setting)
- Experience with the delivery of service-based maintenance contracts ensuring building services operate efficiently and effectively
- Highly effective planning, reporting and prioritising skills
- Demonstrated experience in critical thinking and problem solving
