**Full Time Permanent Opportunity**

Due to company growth, we are seeking an experienced Application Development manager who will be responsible for managing onshore and offshore development teams, their deliverables, performance and capabilities across a wide variety of project streams.

The role will also be accountable for defining and implementing the strategic goals to maximise team productivity, continuous improvement and uplift of software delivery practices.

**What you will bring to the role?**
- 5+ years in leading and managing software development team members, with the ability to mentor and develop team members
- Experience in managing and implementing operational excellence across Application development teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills paired with written and verbal communications
- Proven record of successfully supporting onshore and offshore development teams
- Strong understanding and adherence to SDLC processes, SOLID principles
- OOPs and/or design patterns on new development / maintenance projects
- Experience in developing documentation & handling technical debt
- Proven record of implementing automated unit tests
- Excellent self-organizational, multitasking & prioritization skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability, with the ability to drive continuous improvement
- Able to use compelling argumentation to convey conclusions and ideas
- Provide recommendations based on verbal and numerical data
- Experience in driving initiatives related to process improvements and team performance improvements
- Availability to accommodate occasional on-call after hours support when required

**Desirable**
- Completed tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Insurance or Fin Services Industry experience
- MCSD certification or similar
