**THE OPPORTUNITY**
We are looking for an experienced Venue Manager with a background in a high end, serviced Bar/Restaurant venue. Working with a highly professional and vibrant team, this is a hands-on role, and a leadership position within the business. Your passion for service and inspiring customer service will make you the ideal person for this role.

A minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.

**THE VENUE.**
Paying homage to Sydney’s legendary Menzies Hotel, The Menzies Bar is a true labour of love, where history, hospitality and good times are woven together to deliver a bar unique to the Sydney CBD. Culinary Director, Joel Bickford and his team have worked to deliver a bistro style menu, inspired by the grand European bistros.

Anchoring classic European dining with a contemporary edge, the menu comprises shared and large plates, from lunch to dinner, snacks and supper. The space in Menzies provides a New York-esque inner city feel with low seating and nooks to relax.

**ABOUT YOU.**
1. You have a proven ability to lead a large team of staff, made up of section waiters, food runners and cocktail bartenders.

2. Experience in mentoring, training and upskilling your team

3. You will have a passion for service with an extensive food and wine knowledge

4. An ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and to be innovative in the fulfilment of these needs

5. Previous experience creating staff rosters and managing budgets associated with staffing requirements.

6. Ideally you have a detailed knowledge of Sydney Bar & Restaurant scene and the expectations that come with this.
