Gallagher Bassett (GB) is Australia and New Zealand’s premier third party claims administrator. We manage claims on behalf of insurers, brokers, government bodies and self-insured organisations. We are part of the leading global risk management and insurance group Arthur J Gallagher & Co.

Due to an exciting phase of change, a new opportunity exists for a Head of Sales & Client Services to join Gallagher Bassett’s Client service division, aligned with our Personal Injury service lines.
This opportunity will see you lead Gallagher Bassett’s General growth and retention agenda in line with the execution of the company strategy. You will be a key ambassador of building a great coaching culture to ensure the team is the best and the brightest to ensure the client is at the heart of everything we do.
Your role will position Gallagher Bassett as an industry leader being recognised as attracting the best clients, the best talent and the delivering the best results across Personal Injury in Australia.
The role will lead the identification and development of new business opportunities to increase revenue through organic growth and/or new products for the region, as well as delivering best practice Client Management standards to retain and grow our client portfolio. Core to your success, you will be required to build and maintain relationships with multi-product and large-scale prospects/clients, as well as working with our Executive across all operating sectors to identify potential acquisitions and new markets.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop the strategy and commercial plan for the Personal Injury service line for the region, as well as executing sales initiatives and methodologies;
- Lead and manage the performance of the Sales and Client Services team;
- Collaborate with C-suite on agreed strategic selling level and targets aligned with our focus on organic growth;
- Strategically assess and remediate future needs, trends, challenges, successors and opportunities;
- Lead and oversee new product development, tender, quote and proposal preparations;
- Lead key business projects;
- Lead large scale renewal projects;
- Identify acquisition opportunities and new market entry opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Extensive exposure working within the insurance, financial services or broking industries, with significant leadership experience in business development, account management and/or sales roles;
- Extensive experience in the Personal Injury field;
- Previous experience in working across complex organisational matrices;
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, insurance acts, regulations and Code of Practice;
- Highly-developed communication, reporting and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of organisation;
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and problem solving skills;
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
