**Your new role**
- Develop and implement a strategy for the management of the platform, including defining the strategic direction for report creation, data mining and data extracting activities
- Ensure that activities are aligned with planned information technology upgrades, as well as identification and replacements of end-of-life systems
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies for quality assurance and continuous improvement in the execution of IT operations processes and initiatives
- Providing specialist leadership in the data & analytics platform
- Providing authoritative, high quality, accurate and timely advice in relation to all aspects of the organisation’s data & analytics capability
- Act as an escalation point to ensure that best practice documentation is maintained, and data & analytics delivery issues are resolved through close collaboration with business stakeholders, ITS stakeholders and data & analytics platform team members
- Managing key vendor relationships for vendors that support the data & analytics platform
- Collaborating with business and technology leadership to define the data and analytical strategy, requirements, and roadmap
- Taking ownership of the analytical, data engineering delivery and reporting
- Work with our managed service providers and suppliers to drive data and reporting requirements for our business,
- Being responsible for prioritising, resourcing and delivery of key analytical reporting tools and infrastructure
- Establishment of data architecture, storage, and reporting library practices
- Defining the frameworks, processes, and controls to manage and govern the development of scalable, reusable, automated and assured enterprise data assets
- Identifying improvement opportunities and enabling continuous improvement related to data & analytics by continuously reviewing available data & analytics capabilities against business needs and existing services

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Has significant experience in IT platform management and service delivery, with end-to-end accountability
- Leads ideation and innovation of the data and analytics platform to ensure the right technology solutions are in place to meet business needs
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Data Science Information Systems, or relevant area. Familiarity and preferably experience with Report Creation, Data Visualisation, Data Mining, and Data Extracts
- Formal ITIL certification
- Experience in delivery of data and analytics solutions
- High-level expertise in data engineering, data science and business intelligence deployment
- Experience in the public sector, or demonstrated understanding of the public sector dynamics would be an added advantage
