**About the role.**:
We have multiple roles within the Cabinet and Governance branch - the branch supports Cabinet (including committees and National Cabinet) and leads the department’s corporate governance culture and practice.

**Cabinet team**

We help Cabinet make the best possible decisions to achieve the government’s objectives and benefit the people of NSW - we do this by supporting the Premier, the DPC Secretary, and the Chair and/or alternate Chairs of Cabinet Committees and Subcommittees in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of the Cabinet system of government. We work across the entire sector to support the functioning of the Cabinet system by providing strategic advice and leading on Cabinet practice, developing products and systems, and using our skills and experience to create solutions. We deal with the new and the novel with no two days being the same. We are highly responsive to requests from stakeholders, endeavour to always perform at a high standard and have a keen eye for detail. We get good work that’s worth doing done.

**Associate Director, Cabinet** - **the Associate Director, Cabinet, oversees and manages delivery of Cabinet and Committee operations, policy, systems and project work, and consultation and engagement with internal and external stakeholders, identifies emerging issues of strategic significance and provides well researched and high-level advice on these matters to the Premier, Cabinet Secretary and executives. They lead staff, assign work, and develop team members to achieve high levels of performance in meeting branch objectives, and support a culture of ongoing capability development.

**Senior Advisor, Cabinet****:

- the Senior Advisor, Cabinet, leads assigned areas of Cabinet and Committee operations, policy and project work and provides support to the Associate Director, Cabinet, and the broader work team. The Senior Advisor, Cabinet, ensures high-quality support and sound advice is provided to internal and external stakeholders, and effective coordination of consultation and management of stakeholders across the department, cluster, and government sector. The Senior Advisor can also lead a small number of staff day to day.

**Advisor, Cabinet** - the Advisor, Cabinet, provides timely, high-level assistance to assigned areas of Cabinet and Committee operations, policy, and project work, as well as support to the Senior Advisor, Cabinet, and the broader work team. The Advisor, Cabinet, undertakes their work to ensure effective coordination of consultation and that management support and sound advice is provided to internal and external stakeholders, across the department, cluster, and government sector.

**Governance team**

We build operational capability and good governance to empower DPC and the sector to deliver effective and efficient services to the community.

The team leads policy projects, drafts delegations, provides advice about integrity issues, and manages public interest disclosures. The team is responsible for the development and implementation of the Department’s internal audit program, risk management framework, fraud and corruption control methodology, and probity and governance strategies.
