**About the Role**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Premier and Cabinet - Aboriginal Affairs NSW as our **Associate Director** to lead a team that punches above its weight and is result driven to achieve outcomes on range of projects, policy initiatives and reforms that supports the NSW government commitments to Closing the Gap and other Strategic priorities.
Closing the Gap and Voice Branch consists of three streams, Delivery, Governance and Change, and Strategic Projects. As our new** Associate Director,** you will sit under the Governance and Change stream and will lead a small project team to assist develop, deliver, monitor, report and evaluate a portfolio of strategic and governance projects, to achieve project outcomes, and support achievement of organisational objectives. Importantly, you will use your influencing and negotiating skills to break down silos and bring others to engage in this once in a lifetime transformation.
The team will be exposed to Interstate and national forums, other government agencies and Ministerial offices, Aboriginal communities, and organisations to genuinely deliver on the NSW Government’s commitment to Closing the Gap.

- You have exceptional ability to leverage relationships, you understand the importance of representing the Department’s position with our key stakeholders including commonwealth, state and local governments and non-government, industry partners, and the community in various forums to achieve tangible outcomes.
- You have experience balancing work independently, as part of your dynamic team and across teams. Your experience enables your team to facilitate transformational change across government and community sectors with support from your Director, Executive Director, Deputy Secretary and Secretary.
- You have the ability to adapt and respond in a fast moving and sensitive environment.
