**Our Family**:

- We are a friendly, caring, and active family of three - myself, partner, and our curious and energetic five-year-old son. He loves imaginative play, adventures, dinosaurs, and stories. We value a warm, calm home environment filled with kindness, laughter, and mutual respect. Our son splits his time between our home and his father's, so this job is every second week. There may be opportunities for additional hours such as when I need to attend professional development or work functions in the evenings, occasional weekend babysitting, and some school holiday work (if you're open to this but it's not expected).

**Your Duties**:

- Primary duties involve picking our son up from school at 3pm and keeping him safe and happy at home or in the backyard until I or my partner return - between 4:30 & 5:30 depending on the day. Afternoons are usually relaxed - lots of snacks, imaginative play with Lego or Playmobil, outdoor play if the weather is nice, story time, and occasional colouring/drawing. Your main role is ensuring he winds down comfortably after a busy school day, with some gentle tidying up related to his activities (if needed).

- Our ideal caregiver is warm-hearted, patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoys engaging with young children - but also firm, consistent, and confident in holding boundaries. Our son is bright and energetic, and he'll absolutely test to see what he can get away with You'll need a sense of humour, clear expectations, and the ability to kindly but firmly keep him on track when he's trying to charm his way out of following the rules.
