Kura Yerlo Incorporated is a leading not-for-profit Aboriginal-owned and controlled community organisation.

As an innovative not-for-profit undergoing expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated, suitably qualified Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer to join our Port Adelaide-based team. This position will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your audit skills further.

This role will be responsible for the successful development and monitoring of compliance and reporting against the NDIS and Aged Care standards.

**Position Skills and Knowledge**
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Understanding and experience with external audit processes within the aged care and NDIS sector.
- Adapt quickly to a changing environment or demands within the specified role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including empathy and the ability to initiate and maintain strong contacts with colleagues.
- To consistently represent the organisation in a positive and professional manner.

**Key Selection Criteria**

**Qualifications**
- A minimum of a tertiary qualification with aligned business and/or management credential
- Previous experience in the Aged Care and/or Disability sector.
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC - E) or Blue Card.
- A valid National Police Check
- A current NDIS Workers Screening Check
- COVID Vaccinated

**Skills & Personal Attributes**

The position requires professional knowledge in the following areas:

- Established understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Practice Standards, Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS) and the Australian Service Excellence Standards (ASES).
- Established understanding of the National Disability Quality and Safeguards and Age Care Act highly considered.
- Strong experience working in the community, Aged Care and/or the Disability sector.
- Well-developed and professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Comfortable with a high level of accountability.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work autonomously without direction, as well as part of a team.
- A responsible attitude, with a willingness to be held accountable.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High Level of Proficiency in Microsoft (Word) and associated mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to work efficiently to meet tight deadlines.

**Functional Responsibilities**
- Supporting the CEO in the development of relevant systems
- NDIS Audit preparation and support
- Creating and editing required documents and updating applicable registers
- Support the organisation to meet accrediation requirements
- Internal auditing of management system and records

**Salary**: $54,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
