- What’s the job?
As the Data Modeler, you will report into the Project Manager-Transformation and work on an exciting project that will be focused on implementing a new cloud-based data and analytics architecture, to mature our data capability, and future-proof ourselves for future student growth.

A little about the role
- The Data Modeler is responsible for the uplift of our data assets, and critical in implementing a Single Student View to support decision makers. This might include designing and documenting source-to-target mappings, ensuring all new development conforms to the agreed data model design, and assisting in enabling self-service.

In this role, you will:
Contribute to the planning of change initiatives that will support the implementation of the project by:
- Creating logical and physical data models, using best practices, to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancyDeveloping best-practice for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models-
- Working closely with the project team to meet delivery expectations and provide enterprise-level views-
- Understanding and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions-
- Contributing to the existing standards and improve where applicableWho you are:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated modelling knowledge across multiple methodologies (3NF, dimensional)-
- Experience with data warehouse design, sound understanding of different layers in a data platform, such as integration and presentation-
- Familiarity with data governance activities, and ability to contribute to the standards and processes from modelling perspective-
- Education sector experience is highly regarded-
