BDP: All new datasets which needs to be ingested in RAW layer; requires to be classified according to Singtel approved classifications. An attribute description is also required for Raw data in the Interface Contract.
Delivery teams provide the ICs to Data Modelers and the Logical and Physical model will be developed in accordance with the requirements.
This will be maintained in the Erwin [e.g., DDLs for Terraform templates (IaC)]
BDP: Work on new data objects which requires integration of data with more than one source(s), will be aligned to UDM and will follow the pattern: Raw Detail -> Integration -> Consumption -> Presentation layers.
RAW data model preparation: this is to align with the IC Technical Classifications, Definitions and publishing the data model in Erwin WebPortal
Extensive knowledge of using Erwin data modeller to design and develop data models and maintain IPs to preserve concepts and knowledge.
As an outcome, required data model is prepared which adheres to all standards and the data Mapping from Source to Target (Integration) layer is prepared, amended in Erwin Data Models and Published in Erwin WebPortal. This is referred by Data Engineers to build the Data Pipelines/ patterns.
Consumption Layers designs are required to be aligned to Business Processes.
Knowledge of in-house sources is an added advantage but not mandatory (E.g., JARIVS (MEC), Smartspaces, Sports, Living Network are to name a few).
Experience and working knowledge of Erwin Web portal is an advantage by not mandatory. The Data modeler will work with the team to have the new attributes and entities to be ingested into Erwin or have existing objects updated in accordance with ongoing projects.
The Data modeler will be required on a Project-by-Project basis and will not be engaged as a T&M resource now.
Experience working on Azure platform and Databricks is an advantage but not mandatory.
