Roles and Responsibilities:

Data Model Consolidation: Analyze and document existing legacy data models across

multiple platforms. Map legacy data structures to target models, ensuring semantic

consistency and optimal performance.

Migration Support: Collaborate with data architects, ETL developers, and business

analysts to define source-to-target mappings. Support the creation of migration

blueprints and data lineage documentation. Validate migrated data against target models

to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Governance & Standards: Ensure data modeling practices adhere to enterprise data

governance policies. Maintain metadata repositories and contribute to data cataloging

efforts. Participate in model reviews and approval processes with architecture and

governance teams.

Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business SMEs to understand data

requirements and usage patterns. Translate business needs into scalable and

maintainable data models. Provide guidance and training to technical teams on model

usage and interpretation.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in data modeling for large-scale data migration or transformation

programs.

Strong knowledge of data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin)

Expertise in relational, dimensional, and NoSQL modeling techniques.

Familiarity with Informatica, or other data integration platforms is a plus.

Experience with banking or financial services data domains is highly desirable.

Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality

principles.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
