About the role
In the role of Principal Program Reporting Advisor (Portfolio Reporting) you will lead the reporting and analysis for the department's Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP), including preparing and reviewing related information for state and federal budgetary processes, Estimates Committee Hearings, and whole-of-government program reporting requirements.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
- Lead program data input to the QTRIP and the State Budget documentation, including Budget Paper 3 - Capital Statement (BP3), Regional Action Plans (RAPs) and Service Delivery Statement (SDS), as well as TMR's Annual Report.
- Deliver insightful program performance analysis and reporting, including the department's monthly Transport Infrastructure Portfolio performance dashboard and the whole-of-government Capital Program performance report.
- Pursue improvements in reporting, TMR systems and business processes through leading and developing data analytics, master data quality assurances, governance, activity planners, guidelines and procedures (including creating process documents), as well as requests for change and user testing in TMR systems. This includes active participation and representing the team/business unit in relevant working groups.
- Investigate and analyse program data and information, prepare capital employment estimates, and prepare timely and accurate advice or fact-checking for ad hoc requests for various audiences (such as parliamentary questions, media enquiries, ministerial briefing notes, external presentations and internal departmental advice).
- Support manager and mentor colleagues within the Portfolio Reporting and Analysis team to develop and maintain best practice reporting skills and help improve work processes by providing peer review and technical leadership to colleagues.
