**Description**:
Strive Community Care provides therapeutic home environments for children and young people with histories of complex trauma, abuse, and neglect.

Strive Community Care utilises a strong Therapeutic Framework and unique CREATE Model of Care with a focus on establishing holistic safety. Children and young people are provided with a sense of family, support to heal, opportunity to positively connect with others, and rebuild their lives.

We are now looking for a Quality & Therapeutic Practice Manager to play a key role in supporting managers and care teams to deliver quality care in therapeutic homes and tailored mentoring programs. The position has two direct line reports - Quality & Compliance Officer and OOHC Trainer.

This is a full-time role working out of our Seventeen Mile Rocks office with tools of the trade (mobile phone and laptop) provided as part of the employment package.

**Duties of the successful applicant include**:

- Oversight of quality and compliance audits of Out of Home Care therapeutic programs to ensure best practice and Standards of Care/OOHC licensing requirements are met.
- Supporting Strive’s Out of Home Care programs to adopt trauma-informed therapeutic practice approaches through the provision of training, facilitation of group supervision, and provision of secondary consultation.
- Ensuring the ongoing embedding of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) practices within services and systems within the organisation.
- Development of Positive Behaviour Support Plans with appropriate, best practice strategies to support children and young persons in care.
- Providing therapeutic leadership and trauma-informed advice to support program development and design based on sound practice expertise and contemporary research to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
- Overseeing the ongoing implementation of Strive’s CREATE Therapeutic Model of Care through training, consultation, and the development of practice advice.
- Sector engagement and collaboration in the area of trauma-informed therapeutic Out of Home Care.

**Skills and Experiences**:
ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant/s will require the following Qualifications and Experience:

- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline (Bachelor degree preferred although those with extensive experience will also be considered).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a therapeutic care setting or working in a clinical environment with children and young people in Out of Home Care.
- Ideally qualified and experienced in delivering Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training.
- Experience in developing Positive Behaviour Support Plans and mentoring professionals in relation to best practice in residential OOHC.
- Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Certificate or equivalent is essential.
- Valid unrestricted Australian drivers licence
- Must hold a Positive Notice Blue Card (WWCC) and Yellow Card
