Job Description

A passionate Therapeutic Specialist is required to guide and support care teams, influence best-practice therapeutic care, and make a life-changing impact on young people in out-of-home care.


About the Role
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Remain current with best practice in trauma-informed care, legislative knowledge and licensing process applying this when advising on practice on therapeutic strategies and behaviour support planning.
  • Be an advocate and guide for meeting the therapeutic needs of young people through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
  • Delivers trusted advice.
  • Will be able to offer and deliver a variety of TCI training packages which can be tailored to the needs of the area.
  • Provide post-crisis support and support front-line team members and operational leaders to provide post crisis responses and support following critical incidents, including critical incident analysis.
  • Facilitate case review functions at a local level to provide recommendations and expertise in care planning through Case Clinics, and associated documentation including PBSP's in a way that drives quality outcomes and therapeutic care for our Young People.
  • Provide a voice to the Young People in our care through annual survey's, team meetings and site visits.
  • Consult, as required, on intakes and referrals, including risk assessments and supporting the team to prepare the property and planning after a referral has been confirmed.
