About the role
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment and other industrial machinery as trained and as required. Reporting to the Group Maintenance Manager, it is the responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that all plant and machinery is operating to manufacturing specifications and is in sound working order.
Duties include but not limited to
- Supervision and engagement of Trades assistant.
- Supervision and engagement of service providers for specific maintenance or certifying tasks such as mechanics, fitters, engineers and electricians.
- Ensure all people engaged are suitably trained inducted and certified, and are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures
- Report regularly to Group Maintenance Manager regarding faults, scheduled maintenance and team performance
- Regularly communicate with key internal stakeholders regarding required maintenance
- Provide clear, concise instruction to employees and contractors
- Follow up on completed works to ensure they have been resolved completely
- Be conscious of budgets and commercial considerations
- Maintain and repair plant and processing equipment
- Breakdown Maintenance
- Detect problems by performing basic diagnostic testing on equipment
- Test malfunctioning machinery and plant to determine whether major repairs are needed and make recommendations as necessary
- Manage and adhere to the programmed maintenance schedule
- Record all maintenance activities
- Ability to work extended hours through seasonal periods
- Be constantly considering WHS measures and reporting any hazards
Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance
- Good operational decision-making skills
- Adaptable to change, resilient, can work well under pressure
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the practical ability to fix issues as they arise
- Previous maintenance experience
- Good communication skills
- Experience diagnosing faults and resolving/recommending solutions
Desirable
- Mechanic/Fitter trade qualification or experience
- Fabrication trade qualification or experience
- Experience using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
- Drivers Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Conveyor experience

What You Should Know About Our Operations
Our business is widespread, growing walnuts, almonds and bees in the Riverina Region in New South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados and mangoes in Bundaberg, Queensland.
Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
