The Opportunity
This long-standing metal products finishing business, based in the eastern suburbs with a solid client base and quality driven processing approach, recently commenced a business transformation programme to aid further growth. The organisation now seeks a motivated, professional and capable team player who has both the technical skills and mature approach to work directly with the business leader to provide customer, accounts and general administrative support. This role has high accountability and needs experience while offering a stable career with technical advancement.
Position Duties
- Reception - phone and in-person retail customer management
- Customer administration management and query closeout
- Accounts receivable & accounts payable
- Payroll and associated HR administration
- Bank reconciliations and expense claim administration
- General company administration
Skills & Experience
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly demeanour
- Proactive attitude, displays initiative and has an enthusiasm for team work
- Experience in a similar sole-charge or senior administration and accounts role with the ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of accounts receivable and payment functions
- Strong personal values including honesty, ability to hold sensitive material confidential, good work ethic and ability to get along with a range of people
- Experience using Xero is desirable
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal to communicate professionally with clients and colleagues
- Attention to detail is a must as is a sense of urgency/ability to self-manage a diverse workload to solve day-to-day problems with limited guidance
- Possess exceptional planning and organisational skills
- MS-Office suite experience
