**Requirements**:
As a HSEQ Officer, you will manage compliance to our health, safety, environmental and quality management systems and applicable regulation. You will provide advice on measures to minimise hazards or unhealthy situations. You will also be on a constant lookout for violations and opportunities for improvement.

The role will be predominantly support our ANZ team remotely. Travel may be required across the region to facilitate property/ workplace inspections and the development of safety systems.

**What you'll be doing**:

- As the system owner, support and enforce the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) management systems. Conduct continuous review of existing system and measures and update according to business and legislative change.
- Maintain and implement internal audit schedules including monitoring and following up recommendations from previous internal audits and report on audit outcomes.
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (vehicle operation, use of equipment, workshop practices etc.)
- Conduct investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe working conditions. Review the circumstances of any work injury, illness and dangerous events, identify and implement any corrective action.
- Maintain the company risk register. Conduct risk assessments as required and implement/enforce preventative measures.
- As it relates to HSEQ and Facilities Management, oversee contractors, projects, installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
- Support activities and requirements associated with work cover claims, injury management and return to work.
- As the online training platform administrator, ensure effective delivery of inductions and HSEQ relevant training to all new staff and contractors.
- Provide reports to the Head of Facilities as requested, on matters related to the role and duties.

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a HSEQ (or equivalent) professional.
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and best practice.
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
- Working knowledge of online facilities/communications/incident/training systems.
- Outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Diligent with great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain HSEQ topics.
- Formal qualification in occupational health and safety management is an advantage
