**In this role you will**:

- Interview clients, including those who present with communication difficulties, and take instructions for non-legal aspects of proceedings. Refer matters to regional offices or other services if appropriate.
- Liaise with correctional officers to coordinate the prison advice service at duty lawyer sessions and also help present information sessions to correctional officers about Legal Aid processes and services.
- Liaise and attend meetings with justice system stakeholders, particularly the Department of Community Safety, to coordinate advice services and discuss service delivery issues.
- Maintain spreadsheets and collate and present statistics.
- Arrange video conferences for prisoners throughout Queensland.
- Provide information to Legal Aid Queensland staff state-wide regarding prison services.
- Contribute to the supervision of administrative staff through the provision of on-the-job training, direction and review of tasks.
- Actively participate in team planning and service improvement activities and comply with corporate responsibilities.
- Help undertake administrative activities for the First Advice Contact Team including maintaining electronic diaries, rosters, visit lists and records management.
- Maintain a high standard of practice through governance and risk management.
