Position: Child Care Coordinator

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Springwood, QLD 4127

**Core Duties & Responsibilites**:

- Create, update, and implement quality programs and activities that will promote the social, physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of all children that attend the child care centre
- Develop rules and consequences to appropriately manage any issues that may arise and ensure proper behaviour and safety within the child care centre
- Ensure the child care centre is safe, clean and secure
- Ensure the child care centre complies with any governing legislation, standards and policies
- Ensure the child care centre has all supplies necessary to operate and replenishing supplies when required and in line with operational budgets
- Interact with parents of the children to discuss their development and behaviour
- Hire, train, roster and supervise staff while they are performing their duties at the child care centre
- Ensure staff maintain records for all children within their care
- Maintain all records for the daily operations of the child care centre including ingoing and outgoing expenses
- Ensure all children who are in attendance at the child care centre are properly cared for and supervised at all times

**Essential - Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Completion of Bachelor’s degree in relevant field OR 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification
- Must have minimum of at least Cert III in relevant field If no relevant Bachelor qualification
- Must be able to demonstrate at least two (2) years relevant experience as a Child Care Coordinator or Centre Manager
- Must have Blue Card or ability to obtain a Blue Card as soon as possible
- Current First Aid Certificate mandatory
- Strong management and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about working with children

**Salary**: $34.41 - $35.46 per hour
