Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing, and recycling. Our integrated recycling and manufacturing operations mean we collect paper and cardboard from households and businesses and turn it into up to 100% recycled paper. We are also home to the world’s most environmentally friendly kraft paper mill in Tumut, providing high-quality kraft paper for domestic and international markets. The paper we produce supplies our board facilities across Australia and New Zealand, where it is remanufactured into cardboard packaging for the food and beverage industry.

**Role Details**

Based in Prestons, you will be reporting to the Technical Manager. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our Visy Technology Systems through servicing the machines in a timely and professional manner. The role requires the individual to identify the most suited approach in resolving customer issues and generating quotations whilst considering the most economical way of delivering a workable solution for the customer.

**What you'll do**
- Conducting routine maintenance checks and inspections on Visy Technology Systems, such as **printing and labelling machines**.
- Performing preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensuring all parts (to machine specifications) are ordered and are in stock locally to machine specification prior to service commencing.
- Make efficiency and maintenance modification recommendations pre
- and post-installation (or as required) to continually improve on reliability and performance of Visy Technology Systems equipment.
- Documenting all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Maintaining accurate records of service visits, parts used, and time spent on each assignment.
- Providing on-site training to clients on proper equipment usage, maintenance procedure and safety.
- Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

**What You Will Bring**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ (post-trade) experience in the Manufacturing or similar Industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills & highly demonstrated verbal reasoning
- Familiarity with Visy’s Technology Systems and/or related technologies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Drive, tenacity, innovation (creative) and “can do” attitude
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Thrives in a diverse, dynamic and fast-paced work environment
- Able to delegate and influence
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Able to work flexible hours to meet requirements.
