Public Sector People (PSP) is looking to speak to experienced Accounts Payable Officers to engage in a temporary contract with a Local Council in the Eastern Suburbs.

**What you’ll deliver**
- Prepare, process and post to general ledger batches of creditors invoices and credit notes.
- Regularly reconcile each creditor’s ledger balance with statements provided by those creditors and initiate adjustments as required.
- Produce BPAY and electronic funds transfers for the payment of all processed creditors invoices - in accordance with agreed terms of trade for each creditor and within the management of Council’s cash flows.
- Establish and maintain accurate and up-to-date master files for all current creditors.

**What you’ll bring**
- Extensive experience in an Accounts Payable role processing large volume transactions and experience in a general clerical/accounting field.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, prepare work plans and to achieve set objectives with mínimal supervision
