Business Manager of Ecological Restoration

We are excited to be advertising a **Business Manager** position for our **Ecological Restoration Team** based out of either our Brisbane or Gold Coast office. The team includes approximately 60 employees and is supported by functional staff shared with the broader business

This is a new role and is intended to relieve key business administration functions for the General Manager, who also plays an important technical role for the business. We are looking for an experience manager with business skills to facilitate the ongoing growth and success of this team.

**About You**:

- Formal qualifications in business management, project management, natural resource management or related discipline.
- A self-motivated, friendly, proactive, professional, positive attitude, and be reliable with a high level of integrity.
- 5+ years’ experience in an operations/management role or similar
- Experience using business management software to develop reports for monitoring indicators of financial health and performance.
- Knowledge of how to use technology to improve efficiency, performance and quality.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to:

- oversee daily operations,
- organise, resource and schedule allocation of
work across various teams and projects
- develop and oversee budgets,
- optimise pricing strategies and find efficiencies to maximise profitability
- High level interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
- Strong bid and proposal management skills.
- The ability to build successful team dynamics, guide direct reports and mentor junior staff.
- Experience in business development and assisting with securing a pipeline of work.
- Strong organisation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise and effectively manage competing tasks across projects and teams.
- Support strategic recruitment for ongoing growth.

**The following skills and attributes would be highly regarded**:

- Tertiary qualification in business administration, project management, natural resource management, environmental science or similar.
- Experience in Ecological Restoration.
- Experience developing and implementing business plans.
- Expertise in using SharePoint and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (NetSuite) systems and related technologies.
- Expertise with the implementation and support of field data capture software.
- Experience working in and around large restoration or conservation projects.
- Passionate about conservation and achieving positive environmental outcomes.
- Prior consulting and contracting experience.
